 Why More Hurricanes Now? Ellen White's insight into the recent increase in number and intensity of hurricanes is
intriguing. While she considered them to be warnings from God and signs that Christ's coming is near,
she also wrote that if it hadn't have been for God's protection, there would have been a lot more
devastating hurricanes heretofore.

|  Zinc Deficiency: A Multitude of Diseases Ellen White identified a host of diseases resulting from a practice
she called "secret vice." It is now known that the very diseases she mentioned
result from zinc deficiency, a deficiency associated with "secret vice."

 Zinc Stored in the Brain Back in 1870, Ellen White wrote of a substance in the brain
that was needed to nourish the system. A century later, scientists confirmed that
zinc, which the brain contains a lot of, is indeed an important nutrient for humans.
They have also confirmed that zinc plays a part in many digestive and metabolic processes.
